And also a plastic identity card that translates your local license into 22 languages electronically. Note: An international driver's license issued by government agencies or private organizations designated by the country's government is the only official license.
Why do you need International Driver Permit from us?
International Driving Permit is valid in all countries that have signed the 1949 Convention on Road Traffic and is recognized in many countries that are not signatories to the Convention. You may be required to have an International driving Permit to drive in some countries. Most of foreign car rental agencies may require you to have one to rent a car.
The November 8th, 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic was amended in 2006. This amendment requires the international driving permit to contain additional identifiable information pertaining to the Holder of the permit. The purpose of this additional information is to aid law enforcement officers in case of an emergency or other issue that may arise on the road involving the permit holder.
This document is quite useful in many matters such as car rental, dealing with local driving authorities for identification, vehicle registration or insurance proposals.
Note: An International Driver's Permit allows a passenger to drive a private car or motorcycle in another country when accompanied by a valid permit from their country of origin.
